Licensing Requirements

GA: Body-art licensing is administered by local health authorities under the state DPH framework. Practitioner and studio permits run on an annual cycle under Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 511-3-8.

Sterilisation and Record-Keeping

Sterilization records required.
Retention period: 36 months.
GA: Ch. 511-3-8 requires autoclave and instrument-cleaning controls. Biological indicator testing is required every 40 hours of autoclave use and not less than monthly; related records align with the 3-year body-art retention window.
